Abstract

The leaf epidermis structures of 4 wild species and 14 cultivars which belong to Lilium were observed under light microscopy. The stomatal size, stomatal density, epidermal cell size and anticlinal walls size were measured. It is showed that only the lower epidermal had stomatal. The shapes of most stomatal, stomatal guard cells and leaf epidermal cells were oval, reniform and rectangle respectively.Stomatal apparatus had no subsidiary cells. The type of anticlinal walls were divided into upright, sundulate and sinuate. The acquired of date were hierarchical clusted which reflect the relationship with lily by SPSS13.0 software. The leaf epidermal cells and stomatal apparatus characteristics were importante effects on dentifying the genetic relationship of lily.
