Abstract

Objective: To investigate the minimal erythema does( MED) of normal skin to UV in Guangzhou city,and observe its relationship to gender,age and skin types. Methods: 102 healthy subjects were exposed to SUV1000,and the MED was measured. Results: The average MED value of all subjects to UVA was 50. 0 J / cm2,and to UVB was 43. 0 m J/cm2. In different skin types,MED value of skin type Ⅲ subjects to UVA was 38. 5 J / cm2,and to UVB was 36. 1m J / cm2. MED value of skin type Ⅳ subjects to UVA was 50. 0 J / cm2,and to UVB was 47. 0 m J/cm2. The value of type Ⅲ was lower significantly than the value of type Ⅳ( P 0. 01). There was no statistical difference of MED value between men and female. And there was no significantly statistical difference of MED value among people at different ages of different gender. The range of MED value to UVA was ≥30 J / cm2,and to UVB was ≥29. 1 m J/cm2. Conclusion: MED of UV is probably related to the skin types,and UVA-MED,UVB-MED of the type Ⅲ skin were significantly lower than type Ⅳ skin( P 0. 01). Gender and age had no obvious impact on MED.
