Abstract
It is very important for Active Power Filter(APF) to(extract) the harmonic currents accurately and quickly.The paper discusses the principle of i_(p)-i_(q)harmonic extraction method based on Instantaneous Reactive Power Theory(IRPT) and expends it to extract a selective harmonic.The simulation proves the good dynamic performance and precision of the method.the harmonic current or(selective) harmonic currents can be extracted accurately and quickly with frequency tracing technique even if the frequency of power grid is changing.
