Abstract
Rent-seeking and corruption activities are common in many fields in the process of economic development.What is the essence of rent-seeking and corruption,and its relation with economic development? These are hot topics in economics for decades.This paper constructs general equilibrium model with endogenous rent-seeking and corruption,specifies the institutional background of rent-seeking,and explores the policy implications.
