Clinical significance of detecting apoptotic inhibitor gene Survivin in peripheral blood of non small cell lung cancer by real-time PCR

[Objective]To investigate the relation of Survivin mRNA in peripheral blood of non small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) patient.[Methods]Both Survivin mRNA in peripheral blood by real-time PCR and protein in tumor tissue by immunohistochemical method were jointly detected in 37 patents with NSCLC.[Results] Positive rate of Survivin protein was 59.46%,and that of Survivin mRNA was 64.86%.No significant difference was found in positive rate of the level of Survivin mRNA before treatment and ΔSurvivin mRNA (difference of Survivin mRNA amount between pre-and post-therapy) in different sex,age and patho logical type groups(P0.05).However, significant difference was found between level of Survivin mRNA before treatment or Survivin mRNA in different diameter of tumor , non and existed lymphatic or diatant metastases(P0.05).3.Positive correlation was found between the level of Survivin mRNA in peripheral blood of NSCLC before operation and Survivin protein in tumor tissue. [Conclusions]It suggests that the detectoin of SurvivinmRNA in peripheral blood may replace the analysis of Survivin protein in tissue.
