Abstract
In this paper, we extract the volatile oil from the needles of Pinus elliottii Engelm and P. massoniana respectively by steam distillation. And the oil compositions are examined by GC and GC/MS. 67 components in the needle of P.massoninana and 74 components in the needle of P. Engelm have been idientified. From the compared, we made the conclution that the content of α-pinene in the volatile oil of P. massoniana needles is more than P. elliottii Engelm's. But the content of β-pinene in the volatile oil of P. massoniana needles is less than P. elliottii Engelm's.
