Abstract

The CPI is of great importance in analyzing price changes and their impact on rural and urban residents' life and macro-economic control.Limitations in the establishment of CPI in China need improving.So statistics departments should revise CPI sample and sample weights,and build inflation or contraction index system for judgment.The establishment of the revised CPI should be in sub-levels in order to increase the transparency.
