Abstract
Objective To investigate the anti-senile effect of Ginkgo Biloba Extract on senile rats. Methods The blood, liver, brain tissue was collected after the rats were fed by Ginkgo Biloba Extract for 30 days. The content of MDA and activity of SOD,GSH-Px and MDA were measured. Results Compared with the senile control group, the activity of SOD,GSH-Px in blood and liver in experimental group was significantly increased while the content of MDA was significantly decreased.Compared with the senile control group, the p value in low dose group and high dose group was P0.05,P0.01 respectively. Conclusion the Ginkgo Biloba Extract has a certain anti-senile effects by increasing the activity of SOD,GSH-Px and decreasing the MDA in blood and liver of rats.
