Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of inflammatory pain on the rats' learning and memory. Methods Thirty SD rats weighting 450g-650g were randomly divided into 3 groups: group A control(n=10);group B inflammatory pain(n=10);group C analgesics(n=10).Group A was with no treatment.Group B was injected volume fraction 5%(50g/L formaldehyde) 200μl in the upper lip.Based on the group B,group C was injected Dynastat(5mg/kg) to analgesia.24 hours after the completion of the modeling, each group was conducted to have water maze test, which had been for 4 days. Results Compared with the group A,the time of finding the platform in group B was significant longer in the following four days(P0.05),it means that the learning and memory disability produced.Compared with the group B,the time of finding the platform in group B was significant shorter in the four days(P0.05),it means that the learning and memory function was recovering.Compared with the group A,the time of finding the platform in group C was significant longer in the 2nd day(P0.05),there was no significant difference between the two groups in the rest 3 days. Conclusion Inflammatory pain can cause the decline of the rats' learning and memory function.Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs Dynastat can improve the learning and memory function of the inflammatory pain rats.
