New nursing dressings used in infected pressure ulcers

Objective To explore the effect of the new nursing dressings in infected Ⅱ,Ⅲ stage pressure ulcers so as to provide guidance for clinical application. Methods A total of 80 patients( 104 sites) pressure ulcers which were diagnosed as wounds infections were randomly assigned into two groups: the experimental group and the control group.the experimental group,40 patients with 54 sites was treated with the new nursing dressings,while the control group,40 patients with 50 sites received a treatment with traditional care. Meanwhile routine nursing intervention of off loading,skin care and pressure sores knowledge education were given. Compare the curative effect of two groups. Results After20 days,There were 30 wounds healed,21 sites effective and the total effective rate was 94. 4% in the experimental group. There were 14 wounds healed,21 sites effective and the total effective rate was 70. 0% in the control group,the difference between the two groups was statistically significant( P 0. 05). Conclusion The new nursing dressings is superior to the traditional dressings in the control of the infected Ⅱ,Ⅲ stage pressure ulcers.
