Abstract
In seeking of freedom of subject and natural existence of person, modernity of literature of 20th century identical. SHEN Cong_wen first writer who hold profoundly introspective manner to modern civilization process. His novel possesses the modernity of antagonizing modern civilization, and his novel spirit is aimed antagonizing existence forgotten. It shows at five aspects: maintenance of the solemn of life; history manner of holding morality to occupy change; contradictory narrating model of city and village; life concept of accepting perceptual and detesting rational. By means of novel creation, SHEN Cong_wen rescue world and rescue himself.
