Abstract
Through tracking the earthquake activity and precursory anomalies before Ning'er M6.4 earthquake on Jun.3,2007,the short-term prediction was done before the earthquake.There was long period MS6.0,MS5.8 earthquake calmness in Yunnan and south-west area of Yunnan province;MS4.5 to MS5.0 earthquakes formed seismic concentrating region around the epicentral area in the mid-term;MS3.0 earthquakes activity increased evidently and formed seismic gap in mid-short term.The magnitude calcucated from the seismic gap was 6.37,accordant with the occurred earthquake.The precursor anomalies showed that there were mainly trend anomalies near the hypocentral region,but sudden change anomalies in the outer area in south-west area of Yunnan province.
