On the Relationship between Cooperative Principle and Humor Speech

As the core theory of pragmatics,Grice's Cooperative Principle has a strong application value in conversational implicature analysis.Humor is one of the embodiments of conversational implicature which is closely related to the speaker,listener and discourse information.In order to achieve the humourous effect,speaker deliberately does the pragmatic deviation in quantity,quality,relation and manner of information causing listener recognize the humor in the process of the deduction.
