On Xiang Yu' Vengeful Mentality

The special family background sowed the seeds of hostility in young Xiang Yu' spirit. The cultural environment of Chu Dynasty in which he grew up and the social atmosphere in which public had enmity attitudes towards Qin authority, and also the education he received in his childhood generated a strong psychology of vengeance which made him brave, staunch and firm in his fighting against the Qin Dynasty. But sometimes he massacred the people ,buried the captives and do harm to innocent persons which was becoming a potential tumour in his political life. It broke out in the war of Chu-han. His vengeful mentality made him incapacity in politics. He was always indecisive and politically shortsighted, which result in his missing the chance to reunite all the states of China.
