Abstract
The contents of 6 heavy metal elements in sediments in Jinzhou Bay were analyzed by a mass spectrometry with inductive coupled plasma(ICP-MS).The potential ecological risk index(Hkanson) was employed for the assessment of the sediment quality. The results showed that the pollution of Zn,As,Cd and Pb was very serious in the surface sediments, and the potential ecological risk of trace metals was very high in Jinzhou Bay.
