Modified JiSheng ShenQiTang on Menopausal Women with Idiopathic Edema

Objective:To assess curative effects of modified JiSheng ShenQiTang in treating idiopathic edema in menopausal women.Method: 180 cases of menopausal women with idiopathic edema were randomly divided into control group(A),hydrochlorothiazide group(B) and treatment group of JiSheng ShenQiTang(C).Other two groups were treated with corresponding drugs except control group.Clinical effects,TCM symptom quantization integral and adverse effects were observed after two weeks' treatment.Result: The optimal effect was C,the others were B and A;Comparisons of symptom quantization integral among three groups before and after the treatment indicated significant differences(P0.01).Paired comparisons of symptom quantization integrals among A,B and C suggested obvious differences(P0.01),obtained effects ranked C,B and A.Comparisons of adverse effects incidence among three groups showed statistical meanings(P0.01),the highest was B,the others were C and A.Conclusion: JiSheng ShenQiTang,as a good recipe against female idiopathic edema,is remarkable effective in the treatment of idiopathic edema in menopausal women with less adverse effect.
