The diagnosis of breast galactography on disease with nipple discharge

Objective To evaluate the value of the galactography in the diagnosis of breast disease with nipple discharge.Methods The galactography findings of 160 cases of breast disease with nipple discharge proved by clinic and pathology were analysed retrospectively.Results Breast ductal normal were 12 cases (6.25%), breast ductal ectasia were 92 cases (57.5%), breast ductal ectasia with chronic mastitis were 4 cases (2.5%), breast ductal ectasia with hyperplasia were 12 cases (7.5%), intraductral papilloma were 40 cases (25%), ductral carcinoma were 2 cases (1.25%). Conclusion Breast galactography is helpful for diagnosis and differentiation of the breast disease with nipple discharge, so it has significance in evaluating the breast disease with nipple discharge.
