Abstract
In order to identify the genetic background and relationship of the introduced varieties and mutation materials in potato, the genetic diversity of 12 introduced varieties and 12 natural and radial mutation materials of potato variety‘Favorita'were analyzed by 9 pairs SSR markers. Results: There were 178 amplified bands,167 polymorphism bands of which were obtained with a polymorphism rate of 93. 8 %.The average of each SSR primer amplified was 18. 6 bands. There were 84. 4 % of polymorphism bands located in 120- 950 bp. The genetic similarity coefficients of the 24 experimental materials were from 0. 479 to 1. 000. The UPGMA cluster analysis showed that all experimental materials could be obviously divided into four groups at the genetic similarity coefficient of 0. 65. All mutation materials were gathered in the same group. The polymorphism and genetic distances of varieties were greater than the mutation materials.
