Abstract
OBJECTIVETo study the effects of intensive care nursing scoring system(ICNSS)in nursing human resource allocation in intensive care unit(ICU).METHODS100patients in ICU were randomly divided into the observation and control groups, and the nursing workload in the observation group was evaluated by ICNSS scale, and the nursing staff was reasonably allocated according to the evaluation results, and the number of nurses per shift in control group was allocated according to the number of patients. It was compared between two groups that the time checked in ICU,medical expense, incidence of complications during hospitalization, satisfaction of nurses for the allocation of nursing resources and satisfaction of patients been out of ICU for the nursing work.RESULTSThe the time checked in ICU,medical expense and incidence of complications were significantly lower in observation group than in control group(P0.05),and the patients' satisfaction to nursing work and the nurses' satisfaction to nursing human resources allocation were significantly higher in observation group than in control group(P0.05).CONCLUSIONThe application of ICNSS scale can provide a basis for rational allocation and employ of nursing human resources in ICU and improve effectively the enthusiasm of nurses, nurses' satisfaction to nursing human resources allocation, quality of nursing and satisfaction to nurses, patients and their family members.
