Abstract
Fifty four piglets weaned at 28 days were divided into three groups,the antibiotic group,the control group and the 0.50% IMO group respectively.The basic diet of the three groups was the same.The experiment lasted 21 days.One piglet of each replicate was slaughtered on 35 and 42-day-old, respectively to measure the caecal and colonic microflora population.The result showed that caecum and colon E.coli concentration of IMO group was lower(P0.05) than that of the control group.The caecum E.coli of the antibiotic group decreased significantly(P0.05).Piglets fed diet containing 0.50% IMO had higher lactoacilli concentrations than the other two groups.There were no significant difference of bifidobacteria concentration among the three treatments.
