Abstract
Objective:To investigate the accuracy of diagnosis and classification of 1 693 patients with tachyarrhythmia induced by esophageal electrophsiology study.Method:1 693 patients with tachyarrhythmia induced by esophageal electrophsiology study were compared with intracardiac electrophysiology study and radiofrequency ablation in diagnosis and classification. The coincidence rate for esophageal electrophysiology compared to intracardiac electrophsiology was investigated.Result:The coincidence rate for esophageal electrophysiology to diagnose atrioventricular reentrant tachycardia, atrioventricular reentrant tachycardia, dual pathway with atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia, three pathway with atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia, atrial tachycardia, atrial flutter, atrial fibrillation, long RP' tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia were 97.71%,95.45%,92.97%,100%,100%,100%,100%,94.44%,95.74%,respectively.Conclusion:Esophageal electrophsiology study not only has advantages of noninvasiveness, simplicity, convenience and low cost, but also is very useful in diagnosing, classifying and terminating tachyarrhythmia.
