Abstract
Object To evaluate the changes of CD4+CD25+ T cells in peripheral blood from patients with asthma. Methods Sixty patients with asthma and forty heathy volunteers were included in this study. The proportion of CD4+CD25+ T cells population in total T cells was evaluated by means of flowing cytometric analysis.Pulmonary function was measured in twenty patients during acute attacks. Results The percentage of CD4+CD25+ T cells in peripheral blood from the patients was much lower than that of the healthy volunteers(P0.01);and the expression of CD4+CD25+ T cells in peripheral blood from patients during acute attacks was abviously lower than that of the patients in chronic phase, and the difference is of great significance. Conclusion The CD4+ and CD25+regulatory T cells involved in the pathogenesis of asthma in human.
