Abstract

OBJECTIVE:To observe efficacy of propess for cervical ripening and labor induction.METHODS:100 pregnant women were collected from obstetrics and gynecology department of our hospital from Jan.2009 to Jan.2010 as subjects.50 patients were treated with propess for labor induction as observation group and other 50 patients were treated with oxytocin for labor induction as control group.Clinical efficacies of 2 groups were compared.RESULTS:The cervical score of observation group 12 h after treatment was significantly higher than before treatment, there was significant difference between 2 groups(P0.01).The labor time, the total production process and delivery time in observation group were shorter than in control group. The success rate of labor induction in observation group was 96.0%,which was significantly higher than that of control group(74.0%).There was significant difference(P0.05).CONCLUSION:Propess can induce cervical ripening and improve success rate of labor induction.
