Needle supporting for removal of the deep layer corneal foreign body

Abstract

Objective To study the clinical treatment effect and surgical technique by needle supporting for removal of the deep layer corneal foreign body.Methods 28 cases(28 eyes)with the deep layer corneal foreign body were treated with operation.Through the needle supporting of corneal under operation microscope.Results All the deep layer corneal foreign bodies were successfully removed.The postoperative follow-up ranged from 1 to 3 month.Visual acuity was improved in different degree in 16 cases(57.1%)and unchanged in 12 cases(42.9%),no one cases the vision was less than that of pre-operation.Conclusions It is safe.effective and simple method for the needle supporting for removal of the deep layer corner foreign body and having less postoperative complication,It provides useful treatment for doctors of eye to removal corneal foreign body.
