Abstract

The bank failure along Changjiang Tingziwan trunk levee is owing to the fact that the clay-covered silt bank foundation is always scoured by storm water in summer and ground water in winter. The regulation measures are that: the above-water bank slope is protected by revetment and the under-water part is by riprap works.
