Rebuilding Motion Simulation of Virtual Manikin in VRML

Abstract

In order to enhance the application of Virtual Reality technology in maintenance and maintainability engineering, solve the problem of singularity and bad interaction of the Jack software distribution, structure and components of Jack virtual manikin were studied. Based on H-anim specification, the manikin joint hierarchy (skeleton) was rebuilt and the manikin, which fits for Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML) motion simulation requirement, was established. The ChannelSet file, which contents the information of Jack manikin motion simulation, was analyzed, the conversion algorithm was proposed. And the corresponding program that can create a motion script for VRML manikin was developed. Finally motion simulation of Jack manikin reruns completely in VRML environment.
