Abstract
Objective:To observe the effect of Jing Tong decoction and acupuncture on Vertebray Artery-type Cervical Spondylopathy(CSA).Methods:All 136 cases with CSA were randomly divided into treatment and control groups,68 cases in each. The patients were treated with Jing Tong Decoction and Acupuncture in the treatment group, and flunarizine capsule plus cervical traction in control group. The clinical curative effect, hemorheology, systolic peak flow velocity(Vs),average speed of blood(Vm),end-diastolic velocity(Vd) of the vertebral artery and the basilar artery(BA),detected by Transcranial Doppler(TCD),were observed after the treatment. Results:The total effective rate was 91.1% and 79.4%,respectively in treat-ment group and control group, and the treatment group showed better effect than the control group(P0.05);TCD of hemorheology VA and BA showed Vs、Vm、Vd in the treatment group increased with statistically significant difference(P 0.05) and that the difference between the two groups after the treatment was statistically significant(P0.05);According to the changes of blood rheology, the whole blood viscosity, plasma viscosity, erythrocyte deposited, erythrocyte aggregation index and fibrinogen content reduced in treatment group after treatment, with statistically significant difference(P0.05),and comparison of hemorheology between the two groups, after treatment, showed statistically significant difference was(P0.05).Conclusion:Jing Tong decoction and acupuncture can provide preferable therapeutic effects on CSA,increase vertebral basilar artery blood flow, reduce the blood viscosity, and improve microcirculation.
