Abstract

In the experiment, the compaction parameters were changed to test the compaction results, so as to reveal the factors, which influence the compaction results. The compaction depth, compaction mechanics and compaction times were surveyed, the surveying data were analyzed with three-point two-time interpolation function to develop a evaluating system for coarse-grained soil. The results show that the moisture content has little influence on the compaction of coarse-grained soil, so the heavy vibrating compactor should be adopted to compact coarse grained soil.
