Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical significance of Hcy and CRP levels in serum for patients with coronary heart disease( CHD). Methods 105 patients with CHD were divided into stable angina pectoris( SAP) group( n = 31),unstable angina pectoris( UAP) group( n = 39) and acute myocardial infarction( AMI) group( n =35) according to clinical diagnosis,40 healthy person were employed as control. The levels of Hcy and CRP in serum of them were detected. Results The HCY and CRP levels of CHD patients were significantly higher than those of control( P 0. 01). The Hcy and CRP levels of three CHD groups present significant difference,( AMI group UAP group SAP group). Conclusions HCY and CRP levels in serum of CHD patients are related to severity of the disease, and detection of HCY and CRP levels in serum has important clinical value on the diagnosis and therapeutic effect monitoring for CHD.
