Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of vascular endothelial growth factor( VEGF),P53 and Ki-67 in the occurrence and development of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. Methods Expression of VEGF,P53 and Ki-67 in 43 cases of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and 20 cases of adjacent cancer tissues were detected by immunohistochemistry SP method. Results In esophageal squamous cell carcinoma,positive rates of VEGF protein,P53 and Ki-67 were 90. 7%,88. 4%,100. 0%. In the adjacent cancer tissues,VEGF protein,P53 and Ki-67 had low expression or no expression,P 0. 01: The relationship between clinicopathologic features and expression of VEGF,P53 and Ki-67 showed that expression of VEGF,P53 and Ki-67 was positively related with tumor differentiation( γ = 0. 945,0. 963,0. 986,P 0. 05). Conclusion The dramatic increase of VEGF, P53 and Ki-67 in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma may be closely related to the occurrence and development of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
