Abstract
The paper, by means of literature, elaborates the definition of sports culture at colleges and universities, and points out its developing and innovating trend towards being humanistic, scientific, democratic, internationalized and national. The paper also puts forward some approaches to constructing advanced sports culture at colleges and universities: to guide the construction with advanced culture, to feature the students-centered sports culture, to engage university staff in the construction, and to adopt properly foreign or local culture, etc.
