A Literature Review of the Relation between Capitalism and Socialism

As a type of social economic system in human history,capitalism has undergone a series of great political,economic and cultural changes.These changes have left tremendous influence on the world in general and socialist countries in particular.Given this background,it is an important task for researchers of ideology and theoretical studies to examine the new situations and changes of capitalism in the light of Marxist world outlook by means of Marxist methodology.The nature of these changes is to be analyzed to achieve correct understanding of the development stages of capitalism,to make scientific predictions about the development trend of capitalism,to handle the relation between socialism and capitalism properly,to test Marxist basic theories about socialism and capitalism,and to enhance the theoretical development and innovation so as to meet the needs of constructing socialism characteristic of the Chinese style.
