Abstract

The theory of intertextuality,a most heated topic in the field of literature study in recent years,also has deep influences on translation.Because translation is a special kind of recreation,the theory of intertextuality is of particular importance in the process of translation.This paper attempts to explore the special functions and contributions of intertextuality in translation from three perspectives: the role of translator,the meaning of texts and cultural intertextuality.
