Application on nested Logit mode of traffic mode choice

Abstract

Nested Logit mode(NL) based on discrete choice method is introduced to select traffic-mode in practice.compared with multinomial Logit mode(MNL),NL enlarges the limits of Independance of (Irrelevant) Alternative(IIA) and has better explaining ability.It also produces a convenient and effective method to transact mode choosing problems.At the end,the procedure of the method is illuminated with an example.
