Abstract
Wireless Ad Hoc network is a mobile,multi-hop,self-organized and centerless system, which has great applications in both military and commerce field due to its especial features such as robustness, survivability and can be put up quickly. However, its flexible features make security a challenge. Then,a robust key management scheme is necessary to ensure privacy protection in Ad Hoc networks. In this paper,a cluster-based key management scheme is presented, which greatly decreases the need of the ability for computation and storage of mobile terminals,as well as communication cost for system key management by using the identity-based cryptography.Additionally, this scheme solves the problem of security effectively by bringing in a key agreement algorithm.
