Abstract
To meet customers' diverse demands,the concept of adaptable product platform was introduced. Based on the characteristic analysis of electro-hydraulic dram brake,a new configuration method for product family was presented based on adaptable product platform. In this process,the axiomatic design was utilized as framework to zigzaging mapping between functional requirements and design parameters,and design matrix was established. Then the design relation matrix was constructed and relation degree among design parameters was calculated. Finally,the platform parameters were identified and product configuration which satisfied customer' requirements was achieved.
