Abstract
[Objective] To study the clinical significance of bone marrow megalokaryocyte and four parameters of platelet changes in idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP). [Methods] The platelet total (PLT), mean platelet volume (MPV), platelet distribution width (PDW), platelet larger cell ratio (P-LCR) and bone marrow megalokaryocyte were detected in 99 cases of ITP before and after treatment. [Results] (1) There was no correlation between bone marrow megakaryocyte and platelet, but the granular type and the platelet-producing megakaryocyte were correlated with platelet (P﹤0.01). (2) PLT was negatively with MPV (P﹤0.01); MPV was positively correlated with PDW and P-LCR; PDW was positively correlated with P- LCR (P﹤0.05). (3) PLT in ITP before the treatment was significantly decreased than that in the control group (P﹤0.001). The PLT was significantly increased after the treatment, MPV, PDW and P-LCR were significantly reduced ( P ﹤ 0.001). [ Conclusion] Observation of the PLT parameter has important significance for platelet-producing function of bone marrow megakaryocyte, telling the degrees of the states of the patients and observing the effectiveness of therapy of ITP.
