Abstract

Objective:To observe the effect of video-assisted thoracoscopic in treatment of spontaneous pneumothorax.Methods:26 patients with spontaneous pneumothorax undergoing video-assisted thoracoscopic treatment were regarded as observation group, while 25 cases of thoracic surgery were regarded as control group.Perative time, postoperative drainage tube indwelling time, postoperative hospital stay, intraoperative blood loss and postoperative drainage, time of bed after surgery in the two groups were observed, and postoperative complications were compared. Results:Blood loss, postoperative drainage in the observation group was less than those in the control group, operative time, drainage tube indwelling time and hospitalization time and activities away from the bed is shorter than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion: Video-assisted thoracoscopic in treatment of spontaneous pneumothorax is safe and effective.
