Abstract
Truthfulness is the basic principle of news report.According to dialectical materialism,the origin of news is facts and news is the report of facts and the reflection of objective reality.Our Party has always attached great importance to truthfulness of news.At different stages of revolution and construction we put emphasis on the principle of true news.In the new historical condition,truthfulness of news requires the journalists to promote knowledge and enhance political and professional quality on the political level in accordance with the important idea of three representsestablished by comrade Jiang Zemin.
