Abstract
The emergence of fluconazole-resistant Candida albicans strains is a significant problem after long-term treatment. Multiple molecular mechanisms contribute to the development of resistance in Candida albicans .including mutations or overexpression of the drug target enzyme in sterol biosynthesis, such as sterol 14α-demethylase,alternations of intracellular drug concentration by multidrug resistance pumps and the formation of biofilm in Candide albicans.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
