Abstract
Objective To evaluate the application of transabdominal ultrasonography and transvaginal ultrasonography in the diagnosis of submucosar hysteromyoma. Methods 85 cases of patients with submucosar hysteromyoma diagnosis by post-surgical pathology was selected, and a retrospective analysis was therefore made on the differences of accuracy between transabdominal ultrasonography(TAUS) and transvaginal ultrasonography(TVUS).Results 40 cases of these patients were examined by TAUS,in which there were 25 patients with submucosar hysteromyoma while the other 15 cases were misdiagnosed, and the accuracy rate was 62.5%.Other 45 cases of patients were examined through TVUS,41 of which with submucosar hysteromyoma were diagnosed, only 4 patients were misdiagnosed, and the accuracy rate was 91.1%.There was significant difference between the two ways of ultrasonography(P0.01).Conclusion It is suggested that TVUS shows an obvius priority than TAUS in the detection of submucosar hysteromyoma with dimentions less than 3cm,TVUS can be used a first-step detecting methods in diagnosing submucosar hysteromyoma.
