Determination of Formaldehyde in Dyestuff Products

Abstract
A solution of free formaldehyde distilled from dye products was prepared,and the free formaldehyde was determined by spectrophotometric method based on the selection of chromogenic reagents,temperature and time of color developing,and detection wavelength.The recovery yield,the precision and the limit of determination of this method were verified.Different determination methods of free formaldehyde were compared.
