Network Simulation Using NS in LAN Environment

Abstract
This paper introduces a free network simulation software,NS,and its usage.The distributed network simulation principle is presented and,to provide a reliable,low cost and high performance network simulation,the simulation design method using NS simulator in local area network environment under LINUX operation system is discussed.An example is also described to demonstrate the use of the NS network simulation platform in LAN.
