On equalization of rural and urban public sports——With the capital city of Sichuan province as an example

With the methods of documentation,field survey,interview and questionnaire,an investigation and a comparative analysis were made on the status of rural and urban public sports services in Chengdu city. It is believed that there is significant difference between urban and rural residents on the demand,practice and satisfaction for public sports services. Based on the analysis of the cause for it,it is suggested that the public sports construction take people as the foremost and promote a sustainable and coordinated development of urban and rural public sports services in combination with regional development. With the theoretical research as guide,we should increase the social participation of public sports service by establishing and improving the service supply institution,supply standards and evaluation methods for both urban and rural public sports,ensure the construction of infrastructures and services with institution construction and promote its equalized development.
