Abstract
A sensitive derivative reduction peak of chlo- ramphenicol was found by single-sweep Oscillopolaro- graphy in 0. 1 mol/L KCl. The peak potential is -0.74 V (vs. SCE). The relationship between peak current and the concentration of chloramphenicol was linear in the range of 1. 5×10-7~ 2×10-5mol/L. The detection limit was 2.0×10-8mol/L. The electro- chemical behavious of chloramphenicol at Hg electrode and its adsorptive properties were also explored. The proposed method was applied to the determination of chloramphenicol in samples. The recovery was in the range of 96.9%~100.3%.
