Abstract
Objective To study the apoptosis inducing effect of TRAIL on EJ cells. Methods EJ cell line was incubated with different concentrations of TRAIL for 4-24 h.Annexin V fluorescence staining,DNA laddering and flow cytometry were employed to detect the accurate stage of the EJ apoptosis and the corresponding degree. Results Apoptosis could be observed as early as 4 h after EJ cells were incubated with rhTRAIL through Annexin V fluorescence staining.DNA laddering revealed the higher the concentration of rhTRAIL,the more the apoptotic cells.Flow cytometry indicated TRAIL could induce apoptosis in time-dependent manner. Conclusion Apoptosis can be induced by TRAIL on EJ cell line.TRAIL can become the possible therapy for bladder cancer.
