Abstract
Materials and modern ideas are essential in literary criticism. They are called the two basic points of literary criticism. Because collecting more materials is the prerequisite of logical exposition, and criticism must be related to modern ideas. It's fruitless to give the original appearance to history in modern language environment. So criticism and reflection are stable connotation of modernist literature.
