Abstract

The stability of a prestressed concrete cable-stayed bridge was analyzed with FEM while the construction of the longest double cantilever finished. The girder of this bridge was double main rib.Different kinds of finite element model of the girder were selected in the eigenvalue buckling analysis.According to the results, the characteristics of these finite element models in simulation of the girder rigidity are discussed. The disadvantages of the traditional single-girder and double-girder models are pointed out.The method of using equivalent rigidity to simulate the lateral connection of double-girder model is also proposed. It is convenient.
