Analysis of aesthetic factors in translating classic Chinese poetry

This paper makes some approaches to the transmitting of the aesthetic significances in translating classic Chinese poetry into English.Translating classic Chinese poetry into English should focus on creating similar aesthetic effects in the target language.Translators should transmit,on the one side,the sound effect of the original poem on the whole,and on the other,which is more important,the inner aesthetic significances,including its artistic mood,romantic charm,sentiments,way of expression,and the poet′s sensitivity and style.To do this,the translator should grasp the rhythm,tone,diction,image,plan of composition and layout and plotting,etc.of the original poem.
