Abstract
Objective To evaluate 64-slice CT coronary angiography for diagnosis of coronary artery disease(CAD) in patients with diabetes mellitus. Methods 345 patients with suspected coronary heart disease plus diabetes mellitus were treated with 64-slice CTCA.The coronary artery angiography(CAG) results were the gold standard for evaluating the diagnosis of coronary heart disease(CHD).3568 coronary arteries were selected for coronary angiography. The results were compared between CAG and CTCA.Results There was no significant difference between 64-slice CTCA and CAG for diagnosis of coronary artery stenosis(P0.05).64-slice CTCA for diagnosis of coronary artery stenosis had high sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value. Conclusions 64-slice CT coronary artery imaging as a non-invasive inspection technology is a reliable diagnostic method for screening coronary heart disease.
